MPA welcomes Psychology Profession Act

The Maltese Psychological Association (MPA) welcomes the passing through Parliament of the Psychologists Bill. This Bill will facilitate the development of the psychology through regulation and the promotion of standards of practice within the Profession. It will also make provision for the protection of clients’ rights in the case of professional malpractice.

The Maltese Psychological Association was very pleased with the intense collaboration and debate amongst the several parties in the drafting and passing of the law regulating the practice of psychology. The Maltese Psychological Association, in particular, would like to congratulate Minister Dolores Cristina for supporting the passing of this legislation that should ensure that standards of professional care are promoted.
