What are the benefits of becoming a member?
As a member of MPA, one would keep in touch with the field of psychology on the island. Through a monthly e-update, one would be informed of activities organized locally by MPA and other organizations in the caring professions. One would also benefit from discounts when applying for continued professional development course organized by MPA. Also as a member of MPA, one would receive a yearly publication, the PSYWEB which is a collection of journal articles written by members of MPA and published in foreign and local journals.

How can one become a member?
One can download the form from this site and send it to address listed on the form.

What are the different levels of membership?
The statute of MPA states that there are three levels of membership:

Full members are those members that have obtained a warrant from the Malta Psychology Board.

Associate members are those members who have completed a Master’s degree in psychology and are in their first two years of supervised practice.

Affiliate members are those members possessing a post-graduate diploma in psychology, or a graduate degree in psychology or any other professional training related to psychology.

How does one renew one’s membership?
One’s membership is renewed from one AGM to the next. You will receive a membership renewal form ahead of the AGM. You can then bring it with you to the AGM or else send it in by post at your convenience.

Why is it important to pay one’s membership?
Only members who have paid up their membership for that year would be able to avail themselves of discounts when applying for CPD courses. In addition, the income generated from memberships allows MPA to subsidize all training provided to members.
